Edible cookie dough
Egg-free chocolate chip cookie dough made with heat-treated flour. With just a few simple ingredients, this is a tasty treat no one will be able to resist!

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk mini chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Use flour that's sold as heat-treated (see the food safety note below).
In a large mixing bowl, whisk flour and brown sugar.
In a small bowl melt butter in the microwave. Stir melted butter, heavy cream, and vanilla into the flour mixture.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Let chill in the refrigerator for 30 min to set.
Using a 1 TBS cookie scoop, scoop cookie dough into balls and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Storage: Keep the dough in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze it for up to 2 months.
- Food Safety: Raw flour can carry harmful bacteria. The FDA advises against heat-treating flour at home, because it may not kill all of them. For dough you'll eat raw, use flour sold as heat-treated or ready to eat.
