Hershey's kiss cookies
A soft buttery sugar cookie rolled in a red sugar mix and topped with a chocolate Hershey's kiss!

- 1/2 cup salted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- ¼cup sugar + 1 tablespoon red sanding sugar for rolling
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
In a mixing bowl beat butter, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Add in the dry mixture ½ at a time and mix until fully combined.
In a small bowl mix sugar and red sanding sugar together, you can use just regular sugar but the red adds a nice finishing touch.
With a cookie scoop, scoop out ball of cookie dough, roll them in the sugar mix, and place them on the lined baking sheet. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes until set.
Gently press a Hershey's kiss into the center of each cookie, move to a wire rach and let cool.
