Sugar sprinkle cookies

A delicious colorful sugar cookie coated in fun sprinkles makes these a fun treat for everyone to enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup tiny sprinkles for batter
  • sprinkles for rolling, larger size

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined, set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl beat the butter and sugars until creamy, add in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
  • Mix in the flour mixture a little at a time.
  • Fold in ¼ cup of the smaller size sprinkles.
  • Place the larger sprinkles in a shallow bowl Scoop out a ball of dough and roll it in the large sprinkles.
  • Place on the lined baking sheet, bake 8-10 minutes, let cool before serving.
