Trader Joe’s New Teeny Tiny Pumpkin Pies Are 4 Three-Inch Pies For $5.49, And They Are Made In Canada

Not the Trader Joe's pies: our homemade Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Cookies, with the same warm spices in a cookie.

Teeny Tiny Pumpkin Pies are new on Trader Joe’s What’s New list, at $5.49 for an 8.18-ounce box. The product page, read on Thursday, October 8, 2026, says each box holds four single-serve pies about 3 inches across, and the pies are made for Trader Joe’s in Canada. The page marks them “limited time” and gives no dates.

The pumpkin pies join two Teeny Tiny flavors that were already in stores. On October 6, The Takeout’s Ed Kdonian compared Trader Joe’s Teeny Tiny Apple Pies and Teeny Tiny Strawberry Rhubarb Pies, also $5.49 for four, with Starbucks’ three new Mini Pies and gave the win to Trader Joe’s. His story does not mention a pumpkin version, which is why this one is described here as new on the list rather than new to the shelf.

What Is In The Box

Trader Joe’s describes each pie as a pumpkin custard filling in a flaky, buttery crust, topped with a pastry leaf and finished with a sweet glaze. The ingredient list shows the spice mix is cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and allspice. One pie is 58 grams and 180 calories, the page says, and the pies contain milk, egg and wheat. The box is marked kosher.

The pies can be eaten straight from the box, and Trader Joe’s says they are better heated, in an oven, a microwave or an air fryer. The page suggests whipped cream or a scoop of pumpkin ice cream on top.

How They Compare With Starbucks’ Pumpkin Mini Pie

Starbucks put its own three Mini Pies, including a pumpkin one, in its U.S. bakery case on September 29, and all three were still on the menu on October 8. Our story on the Starbucks pies found two reviewers paying $2.95 and $3.45 apiece, which puts one Starbucks pie close to the price of a whole box of four from Trader Joe’s. Starbucks’ menu lists its Pumpkin Mini Pie at 210 calories, against 180 for one of Trader Joe’s.

That is a price and size comparison, not a taste one. Nobody has published a side-by-side of the two pumpkin pies yet. The Takeout’s October 6 test covered the apple and strawberry rhubarb versions only.

Pumpkin Pie, In Cookie Form

For the same spices in a cookie, our Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Cookies fold pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice into a cinnamon-sugar snickerdoodle dough. Our Pumpkin Spice Latte Cookies add instant espresso to the pumpkin dough and finish with an espresso buttercream. Neither is a copycat of the pie; they are our cookies on the same flavor.

Where To Find Them

The pies are in the bakery section under Trader Joe’s “Sweet Stuff” label, and the chain’s website warns that not every store carries every product. Trader Joe’s does not sell online, so the store is the only place to get them. The What’s New list, sorted by date, had 31 items on October 8, with the pies seventh from the top.
