Levain Bakery’s Peanut Butter Lover’s Assortment Is Back Online For One Week Only, At $32 For 4 Cookies, $52 For 8 And $82 For 12

Levain Bakery has put its Peanut Butter Lover’s Assortment back on sale online for one week only. The box pairs the bakery’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookie with a limited-run mirror image, a Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Chip cookie. It comes in three sizes: four cookies for $32, eight for $52 and twelve for $82, and Levain ships nationwide.
The listing went live on Levain’s site on Friday, October 2, according to the store’s product data, and all three sizes were still available on Thursday, October 8. Levain does not post an end date. Its banner says only “Back for One Week Only,” so the window may close any day.
What Is In The Box
Levain describes the two cookies this way. The Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip is the bakery’s long-running one, a cocoa cookie layered with peanut butter chips. The Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Chip is the inverse, a creamy and chunky peanut butter cookie studded with dark chocolate chips, and Levain calls it a limited run. The bakery’s own explanation for bringing the pair back: “sometimes you feel cuckoo for cocoa and other times, you feel a little more nutty.”
The assortment is sold in the bakery’s blue gift box with a hand-tied ribbon, and the page lists dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, peanuts and tree nuts as allergens. Levain says the cookies keep in an airtight container for up to a week or can be frozen, and it recommends warming them in a 350-degree oven for a few minutes before eating.
The first of those two cookies is one we have already copied. Our Copycat Levain Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie is a stated copycat of the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter cookie: a cocoa dough with peanut butter chips, portioned into four big cookies the way Levain does it. We do not have a copycat of the peanut butter cookie with dark chocolate chips.
Why A Peanut Butter Box From Levain Matters
Levain has baked its oversized cookies in New York since 1995, and the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip is one of the four it is best known for. The bakery’s product page quotes reviews going back to 1997, including a 2022 Food & Wine line that its shipped cookies “still taste like they were baked just hours earlier.” The peanut butter assortment is a return, not a new item; Levain’s page says “we brought this assortment back.”
How To Order
The box is sold at levainbakery.com under Cookies & Gifts, in the three sizes above. Levain bakes to order and ships nationwide; its shipping page explains delivery-date selection and what happens if nobody is home.
