America Has Spoken: Banana Pudding Beat Deep Fried And Chicken & Waffles In Oreo’s Fan Vote
Banana Pudding won. Oreo’s “Twist, Lick, Vote,” which put three new limited-edition flavors on shelves this summer and let fans pick one to bring back, now has a result posted on Oreo’s homepage: “America has spoken,” above the Banana Pudding package and the line “Will return to stores in 2027.” Oreo has not said which month, and it has not published vote totals.
The flavor beat two stranger contenders, Oreo Deep Fried and Oreo Chicken & Waffles. Those were the only three choices on the ballot, according to the vote’s official rules.
How The Vote Worked
Oreo announced the contest on August 13, 2026, billing it as the first time the brand had let fans decide which of its new flavors comes back. All three went on presale on August 17 at Oreo’s website and on the TikTok Shop of SnackWorks, Mondelēz’s snack storefront, and reached stores nationwide on August 24 for a limited time, while supplies lasted.
Fans voted by scanning a QR code on any of the three packs or at Oreo’s vote page, from August 17 until 11:59 p.m. Eastern on October 12. Oreo said it would crown the winner on October 13. Every eligible vote also entered the voter in a sweepstakes, and the rules say five winners, drawn on or around October 16, each get a year’s supply of original Oreos, ten packs shipped over twelve months. A vote did not affect a voter’s chances.
Matt Foley, Oreo’s vice president, said in the August release that the brand wanted fans to “help decide the future of our product lineup.”
What Banana Pudding Oreos Are
Oreo describes the winner as two vanilla wafer cookies around a two-layer creme of banana and vanilla pudding flavors. The yellow pack shows the golden cookie with sliced bananas and wafer cookies around it.
The runners-up went in very different directions. Deep Fried used fried-dough-flavored cookies around layers of dark chocolate and fried-dough-flavored creme. Chicken & Waffles had a waffle pattern pressed into the cookie and a creme meant to taste of fried chicken and maple syrup. Oreo has not said how close the vote was or which flavor came second.

When Banana Pudding Oreos Come Back
Oreo says only 2027. Its August release promised the winner “a nationwide retail comeback in 2027” as part of the 2027 lineup “for a limited time.” The homepage gives no month, no price and no list of stores, and neither the release nor the rules do either.
