SHEET PAN SUGAR COOKIE BARS

Sheet pan sugar cookie bars
A simple and sweet sugar cookie recipe baked in a cookie sheet pan to give you delicious cookie bars to share with everyone!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- frosting *I used store bought but you can make your own if you prefer
- sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375F and prepare a 13×18 baking sheet with baking spray, use a baking sheet that has some depth to it and is not too thin, at least an inch thick.
- In a mixing bowl beat the butter and sugar, add in the eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, sea salt, and baking soda then add it to the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the baking sheet, bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool completely then slice into bars, I cut the edges on either side off then cut 5 across and 5 down giving you 25 bars, you do not have to cut the edges off I just wanted even sized bars.
- Add the icing to a piping bag and pipe some onto each cookie bar and top with sprinkles, alternatively you can use a knife and cover each bar with icing.
