BJ’s Biscoff Pizookie Returns As The Biscoff Brown Butter Pizookie, Trading Its Sugar Cookie For A Brown Butter One
The Biscoff Brown Butter Pizookie is on BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse menus as of Thursday, November 5. It’s the chain’s Biscoff Pizookie from the spring, back with a different cookie underneath: an all-new brown butter cookie base where the sugar cookie used to be. BJ’s announced it as part of a holiday menu that’s available nationwide for a limited time.
What changed in the Biscoff Brown Butter Pizookie
A Pizookie is BJ’s signature dessert, which its menu describes as a warm cookie baked to order and topped with ice cream. The Biscoff version first went on the menu on April 30, built on a freshly baked sugar cookie, according to BJ’s spring announcement.
For the holidays, the toppings stay and the base changes. The new one is a warm brown butter cookie, served with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream, a cookie butter drizzle, Biscoff crumbles and a whole Biscoff cookie on top.
BJ’s says the switch was inspired by guest requests and social trends. It also cites “65% consumer interest in brown butter desserts in 2026,” a figure the company gives without naming where it comes from.
Two holiday Pizookies at once
The brown butter Biscoff joins the Nutella Gone Bananas Pizookie, which BJ’s launched on October 29 on a banana bread cookie. That makes two seasonal Pizookies on the menu through the holidays.
“This year, we’ve taken inspiration from what our guests love and crave,” said Monika Saxena, EVP and brand president at BJ’s, describing the holiday lineup as a whole.
Price, timing and the rest of the holiday menu
BJ’s says prices and menu items vary by location. The holiday menu runs for a limited time, and BJ’s hasn’t given an end date.
The dessert arrived alongside a savory holiday lineup led by a 16-ounce Hawaiian Rib Eye and a new Truffle Mac & Cheese, plus seasonal cocktails and the return of BJ’s Grand Cru holiday ale.
BJ’s also has holiday gift card offers from November 5 through December 31. Buying $50 in gift cards earns a $10 bonus card, and $100 earns a $20 bonus card plus a 20% off VIP card. Bonus and VIP cards are good from January 4 to 31, 2027. BJ’s says its in-restaurant offers differ in Arizona and Texas.
The same flavors, baked at home
None of these is a Pizookie copycat, but each shares a flavor with the new one. Our Biscoff cookies are a homemade take on the spiced cookie itself, with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice and cloves, rolled and cut into rounds. For the brown butter side, our Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies start by cooking the butter until it smells nutty, then cooling it before it goes into the dough. And our Sour Cream Brown Butter Cookies put the brown butter in a cream cheese frosting on top of a sour cream cookie.
