Dollar General Holiday Baking Deals 2026: Spend $15, Save $5 From November 8, Betty Crocker Cake Mix 2 For $3.50, Hershey’s Baking Chips 2 For $8
Dollar General holiday baking deals start with a Spend $15, Save $5 offer on select holiday baking and food items, running November 8 through December 24, 2026. The company announced it on November 5 and says about 90 products qualify. For bakers, the useful part is the run of seasonal deals on cake mix, canned pumpkin, marshmallows, cocoa and baking chips, which Dollar General says can be combined with the $5 off.

The baking deals
These are the baking items on Dollar General’s list of seasonal deals:
- Betty Crocker cake mix or frosting: 2 for $3.50
- Libby’s 100% Pure Pumpkin: $2
- Jet-Puffed Marshmallows or Crème: 2 for $3
- Hershey’s Cocoa or Baking Chips: 2 for $8
There’s a separate offer too: save $2 when you spend $6 on select Jell-O, Baker’s, Kraft, Jet-Puffed and related baking products. Dollar General also points to its $1 Clover Valley items, spices among them.
One thing to know before you plan a shopping trip around a single price. Dollar General says these seasonal deals “vary throughout the season,” and the announcement doesn’t give dates for each one. Only the Spend $15, Save $5 offer comes with fixed dates. The weekly ad and the DG app are where the current deals show up.
How Spend $15, Save $5 works
The $5 off applies once your qualifying items reach $15. Dollar General’s announcement doesn’t list all 90 or so products. The examples it names lean toward the dinner table: Idahoan mashed potatoes, Stove Top stuffing, Ocean Spray cranberry sauce, Heinz gravy, Bruce’s yams, Clover Valley corn and green beans, Velveeta Shells & Cheese and Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix. So check the tags in the store or in the app before counting on a bag of chocolate chips to get you to $15.
“Whether they’re preparing a holiday meal, baking family-favorite desserts or picking up last-minute entertaining essentials, we’re proud to offer convenient solutions and affordable prices,” said Allen Warch, Dollar General’s vice president and division merchandise manager of food and fresh.
Dollar General has more than 21,000 stores and also delivers through myDG Delivery, Instacart, DoorDash and Uber Eats. Its weekly circular is running holiday recipes through the season, including a Peppermint Hot Cocoa Brownie Skillet and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Dessert Bars.
What to bake with the haul
A box of chocolate cake mix is most of the way to our 4 Ingredient Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies. The other three ingredients are melted butter, two eggs and a handful of chopped chocolate.
A can of pure pumpkin covers two of our fall cookies. Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Cookies put pumpkin and pumpkin spice in the dough and get rolled in cinnamon sugar after baking. Our pumpkin chocolate chip cookies add browned butter and a cup of chocolate chips.
Cocoa, chips and marshmallows all go into our Double Chocolate Hot Cocoa Cookies, which use both milk and dark chocolate chips and get mini marshmallows pressed on top straight out of the oven. Our S’mores Stuffed Cookies hide mini marshmallows, a square of Hershey’s bar and a piece of graham cracker inside a chocolate chip cookie.
