Hostess Debuts Snickerdoodle Twinkies And A Walmart-Only Stuffed Coffee Cake, And Brings Back Hot Cocoa Donettes For The Holidays
Hostess has a snickerdoodle Twinkie for the holidays. The company announced Snickerdoodle Flavored Twinkies on Tuesday, November 3, as the new headliner of a limited-time holiday lineup that also includes Hot Cocoa and Marshmallow Flavored Donettes, Holiday Cupcakes, Holiday Sno Balls and a new Stuffed Coffee Cake sold only at Walmart. Hostess says the lineup is already in stores.

A Twinkie inspired by the cookie
Hostess says the new Twinkie is inspired by the classic cookie. It keeps the familiar soft sponge cake and fills it with a creme that carries “the comforting flavor of snickerdoodle spice.” The box is marked Limited Edition and holds 16 individually wrapped cakes.
The cakes reached shelves a little ahead of the announcement. On Sunday, November 2, The Impulsive Buy posted a reader’s sighting at Walmart.
Snickerdoodle is having a busy holiday season. Sporked, writing about the new Twinkie on November 4, pointed to Ghirardelli’s Milk Chocolate Snickerdoodle Squares, and a snickerdoodle cookie sits behind one of the doors of Oreo’s Holiday Advent Calendar. Great American Cookies, meanwhile, now stuffs two Mini Twix bars into its Snickerdoodle for the holidays.
The rest of the holiday lineup
The other four items, as Hostess describes them:
- Hot Cocoa and Marshmallow Flavored Donettes: mini donuts with cocoa flavor and a glaze.
- Holiday Cupcakes: the brand’s chocolate cake and icing, topped with festive sprinkles.
- Holiday Sno Balls: marshmallow, coconut and chocolate cake.
- Stuffed Coffee Cakes (new, Walmart only): Hostess’s coffee cake with cinnamon streusel, now filled with a vanilla-flavored creme. The Impulsive Buy posted a reader’s sighting at Walmart on November 3.
Three of those are back from last year. The Hot Cocoa and Marshmallow Donettes, Holiday Cupcakes and Sno Balls all appeared on Hostess’s 2025 holiday list, according to an October 2025 ordering notice from the grocery network IGA.
Melissa Chow, director of marketing at The J.M. Smucker Co., which owns Hostess, said the lineup “offers a bit of holiday nostalgia.”
Where to find them
Hostess says the holiday snacks come in single-serve packs and multi-packs, in stores and online at popular retailers, all in seasonal packaging. The Stuffed Coffee Cakes are the exception: Walmart only. Hostess’s where-to-buy page shows stores near you.
Hostess didn’t announce prices or say how long the limited-time lineup will stay on shelves.
Snickerdoodles from scratch
Our classic snickerdoodle cookies are made with cream of tartar, and each dough ball rolls through cinnamon sugar before it bakes. For a fall version, our Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Cookies mix pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice into the dough and take their cinnamon sugar coat after the oven. If the creamy part of a Twinkie is what you’re after, our Copycat Crumbl Snickerdoodle Cupcake Cookie tops a cinnamon-sugar cookie with cream cheese frosting.
