Starbucks has two cookie dates on its calendar. On Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Venti Black Night Cookie arrives in select U.S. stores alongside the Black Cat Frappuccino, the company said in a September 14 announcement. Two weeks later, on Thursday, November 5, the holiday menu opens, and with it the Snowman Cookie and the Sugar Cookie Latte come back, according to Starbucks’ October 5 holiday announcement.

The holiday news traveled fast on October 6 and 7, almost all of it about the drinks. The cookies got a sentence at most. Here is what Starbucks has actually said about them.

The Venti Black Night Cookie, October 22

Starbucks describes the new Halloween cookie as “a large, shareable black cocoa cookie with caramel fudge pieces and chunks of caramelized white chocolate.” Black cocoa is the heavily alkalized cocoa that gives Oreo-style cookies their near-black color and mild flavor; the “Venti” in the name is Starbucks’ large-size label applied to a cookie. The announcement calls it a limited-time item, available in select U.S. coffeehouses from October 22, and gives no price.

It launches with the Black Cat Frappuccino, a chocolate cake-flavored Crème Frappuccino topped with whipped cream and chocolate shaped like cat ears. Starbucks’ Halloween merchandise, including a pumpkin-shaped black cat mug at $19.95 and a 14-ounce cauldron mug at $16.95, has been in select stores since September 15 while supplies last.

A black cocoa cookie with caramelized white chocolate is not a cookie we have a copycat for. The nearest thing in our catalog is the Fudgy Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies, a cocoa dough with chopped chocolate and white chocolate chips; it is our cookie on a related idea, not a dupe.

The Snowman Cookie And Sugar Cookie Latte, November 5

Starbucks’ holiday announcement lists the Snowman Cookie, the Cranberry Bliss Bar and the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish as returning “heartwarming seasonal treats” from November 5, and adds a new Bearista Cake Pop, modeled on the company’s Bearista glass cold cup, for a limited time. The announcement does not describe the Snowman Cookie or give prices for any of the food.

On the drink side, the Sugar Cookie Latte returns with the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte and Gingerbread Chai. New this year are a Tiramisu Velvet Latte and Cold Brew, both topped with a mascarpone cold foam and a cocoa and coffee dusting, and an Apple Pomegranate Refresher. Red Cup Day, when a holiday drink purchase comes with a reusable cup, returns on a date Starbucks has not announced.

For the cookie in the latte’s name, our Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookies are a plain vanilla sugar cookie with brown sugar in the dough; they are not a Starbucks copycat. Our one stated Starbucks copycat is the Copycat Starbucks Ginger Molasses Cookies, spiced with ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg and rolled in sugar, a cookie that is not on the current Starbucks menu.

What Is Already In The Case

Starbucks’ U.S. bakery case has had three Mini Pies, apple crumble, pecan and pumpkin, since September 29, and all three were still on the menu on October 8. Our story on the Mini Pies covers what reviewers paid and which flavor each picked. Both of the new dates here come after that post, and neither cookie had a price or a menu listing as of October 8.
